Nolwenn Leroy (Star Academy 2 - 2002)

Tombe la neige
Tu ne viendras pas ce soir
Tombe la neige
Et mon coeur s'habille de noir
Ce soyeux cortege
Tout en larmes blanches
L'oiseau sur la branche
Pleure le sortilege

Tu ne viendras pas ce soir
Me crie mon désespoir
Mais tombe la neige
Impassible manege

Tombe la neige
Tu ne viendras pas ce soir
Tombe la neige
Tout est blanc de désespoir
Triste certitude
Le froid et l'absence
Cet odieux silence
Blanche solitude

Tu ne viendras pas ce soir
Me crie mon désespoir
Mais tombe la neige
Impassible manege

Nolwenn Leroy
Cassé
Lyrics: Lionel Florence
Music: Francis Maggiulli

Je ne t'ai pas vu partir
Ni entendu la porte claquer
C'est un peu facile à dire
Après quelques années

Je ne t'ai pas vu partir
Ton manteau est resté dans l'entrée
Depuis que je t'ai vu sourire
En me rendant les clefs,

Qu'après m'avoir dit en face
Les quatre ou cinq vérités
L'amour ça passe ou ça casse
Comme c'est déjà...

{Refrain:}
Cassé, oh oh cassé
Ça passera avec le temps
Ou quelqu'un d'autre
Cassé, oh oh cassé
Ça passera, ça prend du temps
Pour être une autre,
Je laisse la place à qui voudra

Je ne t'ai pas vu venir
Reprendre ton manteau démodé
Peut-être comme les souvenirs
Il était à jeter

Après me prendre en pleine face
Encore une autre vérité
L'amour ça passe ou ça lasse
Et puisque c'est déjà

{au Refrain}

Cassé, oh oh cassé
Oh oh

Ça passera avec le temps
Ou quelqu'un d'autre
Ou quelqu'un d'autre
Cassé, oh oh cassé

For You
John Denver (12/31/1943 -- 10/12/1997)

Lyrics & Music: John Denver

Just to look in your eyes again
Just to lay in your arms
Just to be the first one always there for you
Just to live in your laughter
Just to sing in your heart
Just to be everyone of your dreams come true

Just to sit by your window
Just to touch in the night
Just to offer a prayer each day for you
Just to long for your kisses
Just to dream of your sighs
Just to know that Id give my life for you

For you for the rest of my life
For you all the best of my life
For you alone, only for you

Just to wake up each morning
Just to you by my side
Just to know that you're never really far away
Just a reason for living
Just to say I adore
Just to know that youre here in my heart to stay

For you for the rest of my life
For you all the best of my life
For you alone, only for you

Just the words of a love song
Just the beat of my heart
Just the pledge of my life, my love, for you

Que je t'aime
Johnny Hallyday

Paroles: Gilles Thibaut. Musique: Jean Renard 1969
© Philips

Quand tes mains voudraient bien
Quand ton premier soupir

Charles Aznavour

Lorsque l'on tient
Entre ses mains
Cette richesse
Avoir vingt ans
Des lendemains
Pleins de promesses
Quand l'amour sur nous se penche
Pour nous offrir ses nuits blanches

Lorsque l'on voit
Loin devant soi

Lorsque l'on tient
Entre ses mains
Cette richesse
Avoir vingt ans
Des lendemains
Pleins de promesses
Quand l'amour sur nous se penche
Pour nous offrir ses nuits blanches

Lorsque l'on voit
Loin devant soi
Rire la vie
Brodée d'espoir
Riche de joies
Et de folies
Il faut boire jusqu'à l'ivresse
Sa jeunesse

Car tous les instants
De nos vingt ans
Nous sont comptés
Et jamais plus
Le temps perdu
Ne nous fait face
Il passe

Souvent en vain
On tend les mains
Et l'on regrette
Il est trop tard
Sur son chemin
Rien ne l'arrête
On ne peut garder sans cesse
Sa jeunesse...

Yesterday When I Was Young (Hier Encore)
Herbert Kretzmer ( Lyricist ) 1969

Roy Clark

Yesterday when I was young
the taste of life was sweet as rain upon my tongue.
I teased at life as if it were a foolish g ame,
the way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame.
The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned.....
I always built alas on weak and shifting sand.
I lived by night and shunned the naked light of the day
and only now I see how the years ran away.

Yesterday when I was young
so many drinking songs were waiting to be sung,
so many wayward pleasures lay in store for me
and so much pain my dazzled eyes refused to see.
I ran so fast that time and youth at last ran out,
I never stopped to think what life was all about
and every conversation I can now recall
concerned itself with me and nothing else at all.

Yesterday the moon was blue
and every crazy day brought something new to do.
I used my magic age as if itwere a wand
and never saw the waste and emptiness beyond.
The game of love I played with arrogance and pride
and every flame I lit too quickly quickly died.
The friends I made all seemed somehow to drift away
and only I am left on stage to end the play.
There are so many songs in me that won't be sung,
I feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongue.
The time has come for me to pay for yesterday when I was young.

Il ne faut pas briser un rêve

Paroles et Musique: Jean Jal 1936
© Disque Bel Air
autres interprètes: Lucienne Delyle (1960), Isabelle Aubret (1964), Michèle Torr (1976)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Depuis le jour où je vous aime,
Mon cœur est sans espoir...
Malgré votre sourire même,
Tout est las, triste et noir...
Pourtant un jour, dans un baiser...
Vous m'avez promis de m'aimer...

{Refrain:}
Me blottissant dans vos bras,

{au Refrain}

Tee Set
From Wikipedia,

Tee Set was a pop rock band formed in 1966 in Delft, The Netherlands. The group cut a single in 1969 entitled Ma Belle Amie, which was a hit in their native country, selling over 100,000 copies. The group released an album in the U.S. on Quality Records in 1970 entitled Ma Belle Amie, which hit #158 on the Billboard 200 chart as the single took off in America, eventually reaching #5. In the Netherlands, the next single She likes weeds is the group's only #1 single. This single is boycotted in the US, because it was said to refer to using drugs. However, the title comes from the film The Ipcress File. A follow-up single, If You Do Believe in Love, hit #81. The group disbanded in 1971.

Ma Belle Ami

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ma belle amie
You were a child of the sun
And the sky and the deep blue sea
Ma belle amie
Apres tous les beaux jours
Je te dis merci merci
You were the answer of all my questions
Before we're through
I want to tell you that I adore you
And always do
That you amaze me by leaving me now
And start a-new
Ma belle amie I'm in love with you

CHORUS
Let the bells ring
Let the birds sing
Let's all give my substitute a big cheer
Let the bells ring
Let the birds sing
For the man after him waits here
For the man after him waits here

Ma belle amie
You were a child of the sun
And the sky and the deep blue sea
Ma belle amie
There was a time that you thought
That your only friend was me
You were the answer of all my questions
Before we're through
I want to tell you that I adore you
And always do
That you amaze me by leaving me now
And start a-new
Ma belle amie I'm in love with you

CHORUS

The Rose

Written by Los Angeles singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom. Midler recorded it for the 1980 movie of the same name, which she starred in, based on the life of Janis Joplin
The song is a commentary on people who are so afraid of failing (in love, among other things) that they do not even try, as illustrated by the lyric "It's the soul, afraid of dying, that never learns to live..."

Trích từ: Wiki

----------------------------------------
[flash width=425 height=355][/flash]

Some say love it is a river
that drowns the tender reed
Some say love it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love it is a hunger
an endless aching need
I say love it is a flower
and you its only seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dying
that never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed
that with the sun's love
in the spring
becomes the rose

Khoảng đầu thập niên 60, White Horse Tavern ở New York là điểm hẹn của giới ca nhạc sĩ nhạc dân ca, nhạc đồng quê như Bob Dylan, Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs, The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem ..nơi đây, Gene Raskin đã sáng tác ra bài Those Were the Days nhạc lấy từ bài dân ca du mục Nga ( "Dorogoi dlinnoyu" do nhạc sĩ Boris Fomin (1900-1948) phổ từ thơ của thi sĩ Konstantin Podrevskii )

Bài nầy nổi tiếng ngay lúc đó do ban The Limeliters trình bày nhưng thành công nhất là bài do Mary Hopkin ca (1968, Paul McCartney thâu)

Bản dịch từ tiếng Nga

By the Long Road
(Dorogoi dlinnoyu)

You rode on a troika with sleigh bells,
And in the distance lights flickered..
If only I could follow you now
I would dispel the grief in my soul!

By the long road, in the moon light,
And with this song that flies off, ringing,
And with this ancient, this ancient seven-string,
That has so tormented me by night.

But it turns out our song was futile,
In vain we burned night in and night out.
If we have finished with the old,
Then those nights have also left us!

Out into our native land, and by new paths,
We have been fated to go now!
...You rode on a troika with sleigh bells,
[But] you've long since passed by!

Once upon a time, there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours,
Think of all the great things we would do

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way

Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di di di di di

Then, the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If, by chance, I'd see you in the tavern,
We'd smile at one another and we'd say

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days

Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di di di di di

Just tonight, I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be
In the glass, I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely woman really me?

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days

Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di di di di di

Through the door, there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh, my friend, we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts, the dreams are still the same

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days

Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di di di di di
